Family, friends, colleagues, and clients are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Nicole Kosmynka, a compassionate veterinary professional and dedicated Client Care Coordinator, who passed away following a sudden medical event.
Nicole, a graduate of Kildonan East Collegiate, built a career centered on caring for others—both people and animals. She worked as a Client Care Coordinator at Fen Vet and previously served as a Client Care Specialist with VCA Canada.
Known for her calm presence and genuine compassion, Nicole played a vital role in supporting pet owners during some of their most difficult moments. Whether in an emergency setting or routine care, she was often the steady voice guiding clients with empathy and understanding.
In a heartfelt tribute, Fen Vet described Nicole as “the true heart and soul” of the clinic.
“She will be remembered for the way that she cared for people and animals,” the statement read. “She was often the steady presence in the room, helping guide clients through difficult moments with quiet kindness and sincerity. Many will remember her not just for what she did, but for how she made them feel.”
Nicole’s deep love for animals was evident in every aspect of her work. She believed every pet deserved to feel safe, cared for, and valued—a belief she carried into every interaction.
Her passing comes after what her colleagues described as a sudden and devastating medical event. After fighting for two weeks, Nicole passed away, joining her son, Greyson, in eternal rest. 
Beyond her professional life, Nicole was a beloved partner, friend, and devoted family member. She is survived by her husband Jeff, her daughter Delia, and a wide circle of loved ones who are now left to carry her memory forward.
Fen Vet shared that her impact on the clinic will never be forgotten. “Nicole helped shape what Fen Vet is, and we will carry that forward in how we care for you and your pets every day.”
